Why Choose Dried Flowers for Your Wedding
Share
There’s something quietly beautiful about dried flowers.
They don’t rush. They don’t wilt. They hold their shape — and their story — long after the day has passed.

Choosing dried florals for your wedding is about more than how they look. It’s about intention, sustainability, and creating something that lasts.
Made to Last
Unlike fresh flowers, dried botanicals don’t fade by the end of the night. Your bouquet, ceremony pieces, and keepsakes can be enjoyed for years — styled in your home, gifted to loved ones, or tucked away as a reminder of a very special day.
I truly love fresh flowers, but for weddings, I’m drawn to dried botanicals for their longevity, their calm presence, and the way they allow your florals to become something you can hold onto long after the celebration ends.
A More Sustainable Choice

Most of the flowers I use are grown right here on my farm, in my own cutting patch. From seed to stem, they’re sown, grown, and cared for by hand — without synthetic chemicals, herbicides, or pesticides. Growing this way means I know exactly what goes into each flower — and what doesn’t — allowing for a truly sustainable, thoughtful approach to floristry.
If there’s something I can’t grow myself, I’m lucky to be surrounded by incredible local flower farms, all within a short distance from the studio, who share the same care for the land and seasons.

All flowers are naturally air-dried, slowly and without interference. I don’t use chemicals, preservatives, colour enhancers, or treatments of any kind — including no hairspray. Just real flowers, dried in their own time, keeping their natural tones, textures, and quiet beauty. Most wedding pieces I create are 100% compostable or reusable, so when their story has ended, they can return to the earth — or be enjoyed again in a new way.
Calm, Not Rushed
Because dried florals can be created weeks in advance, there’s less pressure in the lead-up to your wedding. No last-minute scrambling. No worrying about heat, travel, or timing. Everything is ready and waiting — and if needed, your florals can even be posted weeks in advance, giving you one less thing to think about as the day approaches.

Something to Keep
Your flowers don’t need to end their story at the altar. Dried florals become keepsakes — a piece of your wedding that stays with you, long after the dress is packed away and the music has faded.
For couples who value meaning over excess, nature over perfection, and beauty that lasts — dried flowers offer something truly special.
